tingo (less correctly, tinguo ), nxi, nctum, 3, v. a. [root tvak-, to wet; Sanscr. tuc-; Gr. tengô], to wet, moisten, bathe with or in any liquid (class.; cf.: aspergo, irroro, imbuo).
